By today’s standard, the Yureka’s specs are pretty much run of the mill, but still, its a serviceable phone to own. Now that you have an idea of the Yureka Plus have in store for you, we can proceed to root Yureka Plus.
How To Root Yureka Plus: Simple Methods You Can Do
To root your Yureka Plus, just follow the steps below.
Step 1. Go to “Settings“, then “About Phone” and tap on “Build Number” 7 times to enable “Developers Options“.
Step 2. Disable “Update Recovery” from the menu once “Developer Option” is enabled, .
Step 3. Turn on “Android Debugging“.
Step 4. Download the 15-Second ADB driver file from here and install it.
Step 7. Copy the Su binaries zip (DO NOT UNZIP) file to your phone’s SD Card.
Step 8. Get Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) here.
Step 9. Using the cable provided, connect your Yureka Plus to your computer.
Step 10. On your computer, go to the folder where you downloaded abd+fastboot.
Step 11. Open “Command Prompt” (Shift+right click).
Step 12. Type “adb devices“. You should get your Yureka Plus in “connected devices” if properly connected.
Step 13. Type “adb reboot-bootloader“. Your device should restart into bootloader.
Step 14. Key in “fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem device-info“. If you have an unlocked bootloader, you will get “True“. If not, you will get “False“. If you get “False“, do the next step.
Step 15. Type “fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem unlock“. This will unlock your bootloader and all your userdata will be erased.
Now you can root your Yureka Plus using two methods.
Method 1: Keep Original Recovery (Hot Boot)
Type “fastboot-i 0x1ebf boot TWRP_V126.96.36.199_YUREKA.img”
This command will launch TWRP on your smartphone. Go to the where you saved SuperSu zip. Flash the file, wipe cache, reboot. You just have rooted your Yureka Plus!
Method 2: Flash Custom Recovery (Flash)
Type “fastboot-i 0x1ebf flash recovery TWRP_V188.8.131.52_YUREKA.img”
TWRP will replace your Cyanogen recovery. Eject your smartphone, hold the volume up+down+power buttons to boot into recovery. Go to where you saved SuperSu zip file. Flash the file, wipe cache, reboot and enjoy your rooted phone.
