Root Verizon LG G3: 2 Easy How-To Methods – The Verizon LG G3 came out last September, 2014 and was considered a flag ship mobile handset during that time. Up to now, the smartphone is still a good phone to own as LG has plans of updating its Android OS to the latest version, Marshmallow (V6).
The LG G3 measures 5.76 inches x 2.94 inches x o.35 inch ( L x W x T ) and is very light at a mere 149 grams. It has a 5.5 inch True HD-IPS LCD capacitive multitouch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (538 pixels per inch) and can display 16 million colors. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for extra scratch-resistance and durability.
Out of the box, the LG G3 runs Android KitKat (Version 4.4.2) but, as mentioned, can be upgraded to Marshmallow. The smartphone is powered by a Quad-Core Krait 400 processor running at 2.5 GHz and has a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon chipset. The graphics rendering is handled by an Adreno 330 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).
To give users the much needed space they crave, the LG G3 comes in two variants : 2 GB RAM with 16GB internal memory and 3GB RAM with 32 GB internal memory. It also has a microSD Card Slot which can accomodate up to 256 GB of external memory for further expandability.
Photography enthusiasts will enjoy the smartphone’s 13 MP back-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.4, laser autofocus and dual-LED flash. For the selfie addicts, the mobile has a 2.1 MP front-facing cam (f/2.0 aperture) and is capable of taking videos at a resolution of 1080p @30 frames per second.

Root Verizon LG G3: 2 Easy How-To Methods
For this article, we are going to use two root methods for your LG G3 Smartphone. The first one is IOroot which is a well-known root tool for LG users. For the second method, we will use a one-click tool called TowelRoot.
Root Verizon LG G3: IOroot
Step 1. Get the latest version of IOroot from here.
Step 2. Unzip the file to any folder on you computer.
Step 3. Disable the screen time-out of your mobile from the “Settings” > “Display” Menu.
Step 4. Put your LG G3 in “Airplane Mode”.
Step 5. Open the IOroot folder and click on the Root.bat.

Step 6. Once the above screen shows, just press any key on your computer and let IOroot run its rooting script of your phone
Step 7. Your LG G3 will reboot into “Recovery Mode“. Choose “Apply Update From ADB“. Press the power key to execute the command.
Step 8. Wait for the process to finish and then choose “Reboot System Now“.

Root Verizon LG G3: TowelRoot
The second root method is even easier as we will not be using a computer to root your device. Again, follow our simple guide below to gain root access to your smartphone.
Step 1. Get the latest version of TowelRoot by visiting www.towelroot.com on your mobile or click here.
Step 2. If you used your smartphone to download the file, touch the tr.apk from the download folder to install it.
Step 3. Once installed, run the app and you will see the screen below:
Step 4. Touch “make it ra1n” and let TowelRoot do its magic.
Step 5. Your smartphone will automatically reboot and you now have a rooted LG G3 the easy way.
Step 6. Get the latest version of SuperSU from the PlayStore and enjoy your newly rooted device.
