How To Root Blu R1 HD: TWRP Recovery Method
Make sure of the following before doing the rooting process:
The rooting process is divided into three part. Just follow the steps below to gain root access to your smartphone.
Unlock the Bootloader (Part 1)
Step 1. Go to “Settings” > “About device” then tap the “Build number” until you receive a message saying “You are now a developer“.
Step 2. Return to the “Settings” menu and you will see the “Developer Options” added. Tap to open it.
Step 3. Look for “OEM Unlocking” in the list of options. Switch it to “On” if it’s off. If it’s already switched on, turn it off and then on again. Tap “enable” and continue. If prompted, enter your PIN/Password/Pattern Lock if you have one.
Step 4. Turn on “USB Debugging“.
Step 5. On your computer, unzip the ADB Fasboot Tool you downloaded to a folder.
Step 6. Turn off your smartphone. Enter “Fastboot” mode by pressing “Volume up” and the “Power” button at the same. Select “Fastboot” mode or boot into “Bootloader“.
Step 8. Using the correct USB cable, connect your mobile to your computer.
Step 9. On your computer, open the ADB/Fastboot folder and right click the “Run Me.bat” file and choose “run as administrator”.
Step 10. Key in this command : fastboot oem unlock (then press the “Enter” key).
Step 11. ADB will unlock your bootloader and erase all your files. Your smartphone will be reset to its factory condition.
Custom Recovery Installation (Part 2)
After unlocking the smartphone’s bootloader, you are now ready to flash the recovery on your mobile.
Step 1. Download/copy the TWRP file to the ADB Fastboot Tool folder on your computer.
Step 2. Again, reboot your smartphone into “Fastboot” mode until you are into the “boot menu“.
Step 3. Connect your mobile to your PC.
Step 4. Open the ADB Fastboot Tool folder and right click the “Run Me.bat” then choose “run as administrator“.
Step 5. Key in the following : fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-1-r1hd-lopestom.img (Press the “Enter” key).
Step 6. Next, type in “fastboot reboot” then press “Enter”.
You have just installed TWRP custom recovery on your smartphone.
Root Your Blu R1 HD (Part 3)
Step 1. Tranfer the SuperSu zip file you downloaded to the root folder of your smartphone’s storage.
Step 2. Switch off your device and turn it back on again into “Recovery Mode”. Choose “Install” on the Menu and select the SuperSu zip file you transferred to your smartphone.
Step 3. “Swipe to Confim Flash” after selecting the SuperSu zip file to begin the flashing process.
Step 4. After SuperSu is flashed, you will be presented with a “Reboot System” option.
Step 5. Reboot your newly rooted Blu R1 HD and enjoy!
