  • The latest PS4 update.
  • USB Flash Drive with at least 512 MB free.
  • 7zip or any file extraction program.

Step 1. Make sure that your PS 4 has the original 4.71 (or below) firmware installed.

Step 2. Download the PS4 custom firmware from this link.

Step 3. Extract the downloaded file to your desktop for easy access.

Step 5. Copy the extracted folder (PS4) from your desktop to the root of your USB flash drive.

Step 9. The “Update” file will be found and you need to press “Next”.

Step 10.Wait for the update to finish and your Playstation 4 should reboot with the custom firmware installed.
