It is important to backup Chrome bookmarks to your computer so that if something goes with your Chrome browser, you can easily restore your bookmarks. Not only that, you can even transfer your saved bookmarks to other computers if you upgrade your PC/Mac. You can also sync all your bookmarks with your other devices like smartphone and tables if you have your bookmarks backed-up.

Backup Chrome Bookmarks: Export Chrome Bookmarks To HTML
The quickest and easiest way to backup Chrome bookmarks is by using Chrome’s built in Bookmark Manager. Follow the instructions below to export your Chrome bookmarks to an HTML file on your computer.
Step 1. If you do not have Chrome browser on your computer, download the program and install it.
Step 2. After installation, open Chrome and click the “Menu” (Customize and control Google Chrome) in the upper right hand corner of the programs.
Step 3. From the drop down menu, choose “Bookmarks“.
Step 4. Next, choose “Bookmark Manager“.
Step 5. After clicking Bookmark Manager, another window will open showing you the bookmark organizer.
Step 6. In the “Organize” window, choose “Export bookmarks to HTML file…“.
Step 7. Next, you will then be prompted to “save” your bookmarks to a location on your computer. You can go with the default filename or you can change it if you want.
You’re all done! You have just backed up your Chrome bookmarks to an HTML file on your computer. You can now go to another computer an “Import” your bookmarks if you need to.
